About The Berry Man

Whether you are cold pressing juices, churning gelatos or serving up smoothies, look to The Berry Man as your trusted supplier. We’ve been trading since 1989, so we know a thing or two about berries. And as we only carry the best quality available, the response we get is overwhelmingly positive.

Frozen Fruit Distribution

We supply premium fruit ingredients to Food Service, Food Distribution and Food Manufacturing businesses

The Berry Man is wholesale frozen fruit supplier based in Brookvale, on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. We supply all kinds of fresh frozen fruit, berries, purees, juices, pulps and freeze dried ingredients to food service businesses through our depots in New South Wales and Victoria, and via distributors in Queensland and Western Australia.

Established in 1989, we are a family-owned and run business with more than 30 years experience in the frozen fruit sector. Everything we do comes back to our core values of service, quality and reliability.

In October 2018 we opened our new, state-of-the-art freezer warehouse in Brookvale, which holds approx. 800 pallets and has meant greater flexibility in our operation.

We also commissioned a solar power facility to offset our carbon emissions, which will provide around one third of our energy requirements and avoid approx. 6100 tons of CO2 going into the atmosphere annually.

Unfortunately no, we supply food service, food manufacturers and distributors.

We never recommend re-freezing thawed products because it can agitate bacteria causing it to spoil quicker than usual.  Texture, flavour and colour can also deteriorate.

There are no other artificial colours, preservatives or thickeners added to any of our fruit products.

Our berries are sourced locally where possible, but we also source from South and North America, Europe and Asia. Click into each product page and there we list countries of origin.

We offer wholesalers the full range of Berry Man products in 1kg bags with cartons of either 8kg or 10kg depending on the product. If you have special label, branding or delivery requirements, we can get product on your shelves with packaging that best suits your business. Pricing offered to wholesalers reflects the volume of stock purchased so if you are interested in stocking our products please call the sales team to discuss how we can work together.

While we appreciate your interest we service businesses only.

Products are grown and packed in accordance with agreed upon international standards. Products undergo microbiological and chemical testing at the grower's site and we receive certification of the mirco lab testing for each product. For imported products, Australian customs (AQIS) do their own inspections via random testing. Finally, any chemicals (sprays etc) that are banned in Australia cannot be used on products headed for Australia.

To open an account we will need some basic information from you, which can be emailed in or phoned in (we would love to have a chat with you and see how we can best assist your business). The Berry Man only carries A grade fruit. If you receive a product which is unsatisfactory when it is delivered it will be replaced. Thawing and refreezing is likely to be the major source of problems and this will not be covered if the fruit arrives in good condition.

Yes, but you will typically incur the freight cost which ranges from $250 - $500 per delivery. Freight charges may be avoided depending on size and frequency of orders.

Yes. All of our stock is transported using freezer trucks at -18C to ensure it is frozen on arrival.

We recommend that you treat your purees like milk. You should defrost them in a fridge, not at room temperature. Always keep put them back in the fridge when not using. Under these conditions, you can expect to consume for up to one week after thawing.

The Australian standard for frozen fruit is that it is available for up to 2 years from packing if it has been continuously frozen. Other countries may allow 3 years.
